• For 'Pinjar' (2003), Urmila personally recommended Sanjay to director Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi after the original actor dropped out. She had seen his work in 'Dil Vil Pyar Vyar' and felt he had the right intensity for the role of Ramchand.
• In 'Bas Ek Pal' (2006), Urmila deliberately slowed down her usual rapid-fire dialogue delivery to match Sanjay's quieter, more internal style. She told the director that the scene would feel more real if she let his pauses lead the rhythm.
