Pinjar(2003)
'Pinjar' is a 2003 Hindi historical drama film directed by Chandra Prakash Dwivedi. The lead cast includes Urmila Matondkar, Manoj Bajpayee, and Sanjay Suri. The story is set during the 1947 partition of India and focuses on a Hindu woman kidnapped by a Muslim man. The film is an adaptation of Amrita Pritam's Punjabi novel of the same name. It won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration. The film was released in India on 24 October 2003.

Storyline
A young Hindu woman named Puro is kidnapped by Rashid, a Muslim man, days before her wedding. She is forced to marry him and live in a new country as India is split into two. She must choose between her old family and her new life.
