• Rajasekhar was already a star when Kodi Ramakrishna cast him in Ankusham (1990). But the director took a huge risk — he made the hero play a negative role. That was unheard of for a mainstream Telugu star at the time.
• On the sets of Aavesham (1994), Kodi Ramakrishna let Rajasekhar improvise most of his fight sequences. The actor’s raw physicality pushed the director to frame action in longer, unbroken takes — a style neither used before or after with anyone else.
• Nayakudu (2005) was their last film together. It directly inspired the 2006 Tamil remake Naan Avanillai — which became a sleeper hit and launched a whole new wave of psychological thriller remakes in Tamil cinema.
• Kodi Ramakrishna and Rajasekhar never socialized outside sets. But on every single shoot day, the director would personally bring the actor a cup of black coffee — no assistants, no exceptions. Rajasekhar later said it was the only ritual they shared.
• Rajasekhar once told a fan magazine: 'Kodi Ramakrishna is the only director who made me act with my eyes closed. He said my anger was too loud — he wanted silence.'
