• Meenakshi Seshadri was the one who pushed for Mithun to be cast in 'Main Balwan' (1986). She had just worked with him in a Telugu film and told the director he was the only one who could match her energy in the action scenes.
• In 'Gangaa Jamunaa Saraswathi' (1988), Mithun deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in every scene with Meenakshi. He knew she had a more classical, measured style and adjusted his rhythm so their voices wouldn't clash. She later said he 'taught her how to breathe between lines.'
