• Brahmanandam was the first choice for the comic role in 'Jai Hind 2' (2014), but he almost backed out because the script was still being rewritten on set. Manobala personally convinced him to stay by promising to shoot his scenes first and let him leave early.
• In 'Nayaki' (2016), Manobala played a terrified sidekick while Brahmanandam played a bumbling ghost hunter. Manobala deliberately flubbed his lines in every take to make Brahmanandam crack up, and the director kept the best reaction shots — that's why their scenes feel so loose and natural.
• Manobala and Brahmanandam shared a hotel room during the 'Kick' (2023) shoot in Hyderabad. Every night, Manobala would read out the next day's Tamil dialogues to Brahmanandam, who doesn't speak Tamil, and help him practice the pronunciation until 2 AM.
• Brahmanandam said about Manobala: 'He is the only actor who can make me forget my lines because I'm laughing so hard. I told the director to keep rolling even when we break character.'
• Their double-act in 'Nayaki' (2016) directly inspired the comic duo track in the 2018 Telugu horror-comedy 'Bhaagamathie' — the writer admitted in an interview that he rewatched their scenes to study the timing between a straight man and a clown.
