• Nikita Thukral was a newcomer from Mumbai when she landed Kalyana Ramudu (2003). M. S. Narayana, already a comedy giant, personally asked the director to pair him with her for the comic track — he saw her timing in a screen test nobody else noticed.
• In Sambaram (2003), Narayana deliberately slowed down his delivery to match Nikita's Telugu accent. She later said he'd pause mid-dialogue and wait for her reaction — making her look like the straight woman who set up his punchlines.
