• Kishore was a struggling actor when he met Vijay Sethupathi on the sets of Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (2009). Vijay was already a known face from TV. Kishore later said Vijay personally recommended him for a role in a later film, which changed his career trajectory.
• In Karuppan (2017), Vijay Sethupathi played the lead while Kishore played the antagonist. They shot a key confrontation scene in one continuous take — no cuts. Vijay later told a magazine that Kishore's intensity made him forget his lines twice, and they had to reshoot because both kept laughing.
• During the shoot of Rekka (2016), Kishore's father passed away. Vijay Sethupathi quietly took over Kishore's scenes for two days, standing in for blocking and lighting setups, so Kishore could attend the funeral without the production losing time.
