• Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh first met on the set of 'Welcome to New York' (2018). Neither was the original choice for their roles — the film was an ensemble comedy that threw them together almost by accident, and they ended up being the only pair to do three films together from that cast.
• In 'Arjun Patiala' (2019), Diljit played a bumbling cop and Kriti played his love interest. The film's comedy relied on Diljit's deadpan delivery, but Kriti was the one who set the pace — she kept breaking character during takes, forcing Diljit to improvise faster to keep up.
