• Raghu Babu was already a well-known comedian when he was cast in Dil (2003), but Nitin was a debut hero. The director, V. V. Vinayak, deliberately paired the seasoned comic with the newcomer to give Nitin a safe, experienced scene partner for his first film.
• In Takkari (2007), Raghu Babu played Nitin's sidekick. Their comedy rhythm worked because Raghu Babu would set up the joke with a straight face, and Nitin would deliver the punchline with his signature stammer — a back-and-forth they perfected over multiple takes.
