• Their first film together, O Chinnadana (2002), almost didn't happen. Srikanth was initially hesitant to share screen space with Jaya Prakash Reddy, who was then known mostly for negative roles. It was director S. V. Krishna Reddy who convinced Srikanth that Jaya Prakash's comic timing would elevate the film.
• In Shadow (2013), Jaya Prakash Reddy played the villain while Srikanth played the hero. But on set, Jaya Prakash would deliberately slow down his dialogue delivery to match Srikanth's more measured style. Srikanth later said this made their confrontations feel like a chess match, not a shouting contest.
• Their pairing in Sarrainodu (2016) directly led to a minor trend in Telugu cinema: the 'hero vs. older, cunning villain' dynamic. Several low-budget films in 2017-18 tried to replicate the tension they created, though none matched the box office pull.
• Despite playing rivals in three of their four films, Jaya Prakash Reddy and Srikanth were close friends off-screen. They shared a ritual before every scene together: a quick handshake and a whispered 'let's make them forget the camera' — a habit they kept for 14 years.
• Srikanth once said in an interview: 'Jaya Prakash Reddy garu is the only actor who can make me forget my lines — because I'm too busy laughing at his improvisations.' He said this during the promotions of Shadow (2013).
