• Jeetendra personally asked K. Raghavendra Rao to direct him in Hindi after seeing the Telugu hit 'Gundello Godari'. Rao agreed on one condition: Jeetendra had to let him cast his own heroine. That film became 'Farz Aur Kanoon' (1982).
• Raghavendra Rao shot 'Jaani Dost' (1983) in just 28 days because Jeetendra refused to rehearse. The actor would show up, hear the scene once, and say 'Chalao' (roll it). Rao adapted by writing simpler dialogue that Jeetendra could deliver in one take.
• The success of 'Tohfa' (1984) — despite its 4.6 rating — directly led to Jeetendra producing 'Maa Beti' (1986) with the same team. That film launched a young Madhuri Dixit in Hindi cinema.
• During 'Justice Chaudhury' (1983), Jeetendra's mother passed away. Raghavendra Rao shut down the shoot for a week and flew to Mumbai to sit with him. They never spoke about it again, but after that, Rao always kept a spare room in his Hyderabad house for Jeetendra.
