• They first met on the set of Baby (2015), but Kay Kay almost didn't get the role. Director Neeraj Pandey originally wanted a different actor for the RAW agent. Kay Kay auditioned twice before Pandey finally said yes — and Taapsee was already cast as the female lead.
• In The Ghazi Attack (2017), Taapsee and Kay Kay barely share screen time — she plays a naval officer's wife on land, he's the submarine captain underwater. Their only connection is a single radio call scene. They shot it separately, months apart, and never saw each other on set that day.
