• Krish J. Sathaar cast Sripriya in 'Malini 22 Vijayawada' (2013) after seeing her in a Tamil film — but she almost said no because the role required her to play a pregnant woman early in her career. She agreed only after Krish promised the character would be written with dignity.
• On the sets of 'Malini 22 Vijayawada', Krish would let Sripriya improvise her emotional breakdown scenes. She once delivered a monologue in one take that was so raw he kept the camera rolling for an extra 40 seconds — that unplanned footage became the film's climax.
• The success of 'Malini 22 Vijayawada' directly led to a Tamil remake, 'Malini 22 Palayamkottai' (2014), with the same lead pair. That remake flopped so badly that it killed any plans for a third installment in the franchise — a franchise that was supposed to be a pan-South series.
• Krish and Sripriya never spoke after 'Ghatana' (2016) wrapped. No fallout, no fight — they just drifted apart. Sripriya later said in an interview that Krish stopped returning her calls after the film's poor reception, and she took it as a sign to move on.
