• Akshay Kumar was not the first choice for Awara Paagal Deewana (2002). The role was originally offered to Suniel Shetty, but when he passed, Akshay stepped in — and ended up co-starring with Rahul Dev, who played the villain.
• In Insan (2005), Rahul Dev played a cold-blooded killer opposite Akshay's cop. Their fight scenes were choreographed to be brutally physical — no wires, no stunt doubles. Akshay later said Rahul's intensity made him push harder in those sequences.
• Rahul Dev and Akshay Kumar have known each other since the late 1990s, long before they acted together. They trained at the same gym in Mumbai and often sparred in boxing sessions. Their real-life friendship is why their on-screen rivalry in Blue (2009) felt so sharp.
