• For Moondru Mugam (1982), director A. Jagannathan paired them because he needed a fresh mother-son dynamic. Raadhika was only 22, playing a mother to a grown-up Rajinikanth. Delhi Ganesh was cast as her husband. She later said she felt nervous acting opposite a veteran like Ganesh, but he calmed her down on set by joking about her 'too young to be a mother' look.
• In Dharma Devathai (1986), Delhi Ganesh played a comedic sidekick while Raadhika played the lead. The film bombed hard (1/10), but their one scene together — where Ganesh's character tries to convince Raadhika's character to marry a rich man — is the only scene critics remember. Ganesh improvised most of his lines, and Raadhika matched his rhythm by reacting with silent, exasperated looks. That back-and-forth became their signature.
• Sirai Paravai (1987) was the only film where they played equals — both were prisoners in a jailbreak story. The film's success directly led to director R. C. Sakthi casting them again in Kalikaalam (1992). Without Sirai Paravai, that later film wouldn't have happened.
• Delhi Ganesh was a mentor to Raadhika off-screen. During the shoot of Moondru Mugam, she was struggling with Tamil diction (she's a Malayali). Ganesh would sit with her after pack-up, correcting her lines line by line. She later called him 'my Tamil teacher on set.'
• Raadhika once said in an interview: 'Delhi Ganesh sir made me feel like I was acting with my own father. He never let me feel insecure, even when I was a newcomer playing a mother.'
