Moondru Mugam is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by A. Jagannathan. The film stars Rajinikanth in three distinct roles: Alex Pandian, Arun, and John. Radhika Sarathkumar plays Rekha, a press reporter. The story follows a police officer killed by a mob boss and his twin sons who seek revenge years later. Rajinikanth won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize for Best Actor for his triple performance. The film was released on 1 October 1982 and ran for 250 days in theatres.

Storyline
A fearless police officer is murdered by a criminal. Years later, his twin sons grow up separately without knowing each other. One son fakes being the reincarnation of his father to trap the killers. The other son unknowingly works for the murderer. They must discover the truth and avenge their father's death.
