• Their first film together, Kizhake Pogum Rail (1978), almost didn't happen. Director S. P. Muthuraman wanted a fresh face opposite Sudhakar, but Sudhakar insisted on Raadhika after seeing her in a Malayalam film. He personally convinced the producer to sign her.
• In Niram Maaratha Pookkal (1979), Sudhakar deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery to match Raadhika's natural rhythm. She later said that his patience let her breathe in emotional scenes — something other co-stars never gave her.
• During the shoot of Chinnajiru Kiliye (1980), Raadhika and Sudhakar had a running bet: whoever flubbed a line first had to buy the other a box of Mysore Pak. Raadhika lost most days — but she says she never minded paying.
• Their 1980 hit Ethir Veetu Jannal directly inspired the 1990s trend of 'neighbourhood romance' films in Tamil cinema. Director K. Bhagyaraj later admitted he wrote his own breakthrough film Mundhanai Mudichu after watching their easy, bickering chemistry in that movie.
• Raadhika once told a magazine: 'Sudhakar was the only hero who never tried to upstage me. He'd say, 'You take the close-up, I'll hold the frame.' That's why our scenes looked real.'
• After Thai Pongal (1980), they didn't speak for nearly 15 years — a fallout over a misunderstanding during a dubbing session. They only reconciled on the sets of Bhadradri Ramudu (2004), when Sudhakar walked up to her and said, 'Still owe me that Mysore Pak?'
