• Sriprika was already a star when she signed Billa (1980). But Krishnamoorthy didn't just cast her — he rewrote the female lead to give her equal screen time with Rajinikanth. She later said that gesture made her trust him blindly.
• On the sets of Thee (1981), Krishnamoorthy would let Sripriya improvise her dialogue in the climax scene. She changed the line 'Ungalukku enna venum?' to a snappier 'Enna venum ungalukku?' — and he kept it in the final cut. That version became the one fans remember.
• Their Savaal (1981) introduced a then-unknown composer named Ilaiyaraaja to mass commercial cinema. Krishnamoorthy insisted on him after hearing just one jingle. Sripriya backed the choice. That film's soundtrack became Ilaiyaraaja's first blockbuster in the Rajinikanth universe.
• After Neethipathi (1983) wrapped, Sripriya and Krishnamoorthy never worked together again. No fight, no fallout — she simply moved to directing, and he shifted to producing. But they stayed in touch. She once called him 'the only director who never shouted at me on set.'
• Sripriya said in a 2018 interview: 'Krishnamoorthy made me feel like I was the hero of the film, not just the heroine. In Billa, he told me, "You are the one driving the story." That changed how I saw my own career.'
