• They first met on the set of Ragalaipuram (2013) when director M. Muthaiah paired them as on-screen brothers. Neither had worked with the other before, and the casting was a gamble — both were known for comedy, not sibling drama.
• In Pokkiri Mannan (2015), Singampuli played the straight man to Mayilsamy's chaotic energy. Mayilsamy would deliberately flub lines to make Singampuli break character, and the director kept those takes because the laughter felt real.
