• They first shared screen space in 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal' (2014) because director S. N. Prasad specifically wanted a comedian who could also play a straight role opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin. Santhanam was the first choice, but he insisted on bringing Jayaprakash in as his on-screen father — a move that locked their pairing for the next two years.
• In 'JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai' (2015), Santhanam and Jayaprakash developed a silent comedy rhythm where Santhanam would deliver a rapid-fire line, then pause and look at Jayaprakash — who would respond with just a slow, deadpan blink. That blink became the scene-stealing beat in every theatre.
• Their back-and-forth in 'Idhu Namma Aalu' (2016) directly inspired the father-son comedy track in the 2018 film 'Kalakalappu 2'. The writer later admitted in an interview that he rewatched their scenes from that film to study how to balance sentiment with slapstick.
• On the sets of 'Bramman' (2014), Santhanam and Jayaprakash shared a single vanity van because the production budget was tight. They ended up writing alternate dialogues for each other during lunch breaks — a habit they kept for all five subsequent films.
• Jayaprakash once told a behind-the-scenes crew member on 'Raja Dhi Raja' (2016): 'Santhanam doesn't just feed me lines — he feeds me the pause between them. That's why I never rehearse with anyone else.'
• After 'Nambiar' (2016), both actors went separate ways for three years. But the director of that film, R. S. Durai Senthilkumar, later cast them together again in 'Pattas' (2020) — solely because he missed their 'Nambiar' energy on set.
