• Yami and Pulkit first met on the set of Sanam Re in 2016. Neither had worked with the other before. The director, Divya Khosla Kumar, paired them because she wanted fresh faces who could play a couple that grows up together.
• On the sets of Junooniyat (2016), Pulkit would deliberately mess up his lines to make Yami laugh during serious scenes. She told a magazine that his goofiness helped her relax because she tends to get too intense while acting.
• During the shoot of Agra Ka Daabra (2016), Yami and Pulkit reportedly had a huge fight over a scene interpretation. They didn't speak for two days. The director had to mediate. After that, they became close friends and even started hanging out off-set.
• Pulkit once said in an interview: 'Yami is the most disciplined actor I've worked with. She would come to set with her lines memorized a week in advance. I'd be learning them on the spot. She made me look bad.'
