• In Appu (2000), Devayani was the established star coming off a blockbuster with 'Nuvve Nuvve'. Easwari Rao was a newcomer. The director Vamsy paired them specifically because he wanted a contrast — a confident city girl vs a raw village girl — and both delivered exactly that.
• In Aravindha Sametha (2018), Easwari Rao played the mother of the hero. Devayani played a supporting role as a village elder. They shared no scenes together — but both actresses later said in interviews that they exchanged notes on set about how to make their characters feel like real women from Rayalaseema, not movie stereotypes.
