• They first met on the set of Dus (1997) when Raima was just 17 and Dia was 16. Both were debutantes, and neither had any film experience — they learned acting together on that shoot.
• In Parineeta (2005), Dia played the demure, traditional Lolita while Raima played the bold, modern Koel. They deliberately rehearsed their scenes in opposite styles — Dia underplaying, Raima overplaying — to make their characters' contrast feel natural.
