• Bhaskar and Subbu Panchu first met on the sets of Azhagiya Pandipuram (2014) — but they almost didn't. Subbu Panchu was initially cast in a different role; Bhaskar personally requested the director to pair them together after seeing Subbu Panchu's audition tape.
• In Ivanuku Thannila Gandam (2015), Bhaskar deliberately slowed down his usual rapid-fire dialogue delivery to match Subbu Panchu's more measured comic timing. Subbu Panchu later said that Bhaskar's patience on set taught him how to let a joke breathe.
• During the shoot of Natpathigaram - 79 (2016), the two shared a room in a budget lodge for three weeks. They would rehearse scenes at 5 AM every day, often rewriting their lines on hotel napkins before the director arrived.
• Their double-act in Narathan (2016) directly inspired the comic duo track in the 2018 hit 'Kadaikutty Singam' — the writer admitted in an interview that he rewatched their scenes to study how two older actors could carry a subplot without romance.
• Subbu Panchu once said about Bhaskar: 'He doesn't just act with you — he listens to your breath. In Etharkkum Thunindhavan, he knew exactly when I was about to fumble a line and would cover it with a cough or a laugh. That's not acting. That's friendship.'
• After Etharkkum Thunindhavan (2022) wrapped, Bhaskar gifted Subbu Panchu a vintage wristwatch — the same model Subbu Panchu's character wore in their first film together. Subbu Panchu still wears it to every film launch.
