• Hari and Soori first teamed up for Poojai (2014) because director Hari specifically wanted Soori's brand of 'village comedy' to balance the film's serious action — Soori was cast as the hero's sidekick before the script was even fully locked.
• In Si3 (2017), Soori's character was written as a nervous, stammering sidekick — but on set, Soori kept improvising one-liners that made Hari laugh so hard they reshot entire scenes to include his ad-libs, turning the role into a comic relief that wasn't in the original draft.
• Saamy II (2018) became a hit largely because of the Hari-Soori combo — the film's success directly led to director Hari casting Soori again in his next project, Aaru (2020), making Soori the only actor to appear in three consecutive Hari films.
• During the shoot of Poojai (2014), Soori was struggling with stage fright before a big comedy scene. Hari pulled him aside, told him to 'just talk like you talk to your friends,' and stood behind the camera making faces to keep Soori relaxed — a trick they repeated on every film after.
