• Puneet Issar was a bodybuilder and newcomer when Tulsi Ramsay cast him as the monster 'Saamri' in 3D Saamri (1985). Tulsi needed a towering, physically imposing actor who could handle the 3D effects — Issar's 6'3" frame and gym-built physique got him the role without a screen test.
• On the set of Purana Mandir (1984), Tulsi Ramsay would physically demonstrate every monster movement for Issar — clawing, lumbering, snarling — and then Issar would replicate it beat-for-beat. Issar later said Tulsi's hands-on direction turned him from a bodybuilder into a believable creature.
• The success of Purana Mandir (1984) — the Ramsays' biggest hit — directly led to Tulsi casting Issar again in 3D Saamri (1985). That film became India's first 3D horror movie, and Issar's monster face was plastered on posters across the country, making him a household name in B-movie horror.
• During the shoot of Tahkhana (1986), Tulsi Ramsay and Puneet Issar shared a small room in a cheap Ooty hotel for two months. Issar cooked basic meals for both of them because the budget didn't allow a catering crew. They never spoke about money — just worked.
• Puneet Issar once said about Tulsi Ramsay: 'He didn't treat me like an actor. He treated me like his monster. And I loved it because he made me the scariest thing in Indian cinema.'
