• Suseenthiran cast Soori in Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (2009) after seeing him in a small TV comedy role. Soori was a nobody then — this film put both of them on the map.
• In Jeeva (2014), Suseenthiran deliberately gave Soori no comedy lines. He wanted Soori to prove he could do serious drama. Soori delivered — and the director never wrote him a pure comedy role again.
• Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (2009) directly launched the kabadi film trend in Tamil cinema. Every single kabadi movie that followed — including the big-budget ones — owes its existence to this pair's first collaboration.
