• Rishi Kapoor was the first choice for Anil Kapoor's role in 'Vijay' (1988). Anil only got the part after Rishi suggested him to director Yash Chopra, saying Anil would bring a different energy to the younger brother.
• In 'Gurudev' (1993), Rishi played the calm, composed elder brother while Anil played the impulsive hothead. They deliberately swapped their usual screen personas — Rishi usually played the angry young man, Anil the romantic — to keep each other off-balance and make the sibling rivalry feel real.
