• They first worked together in Do Premee (1980) because Rishi Kapoor personally requested Moushumi Chatterjee for the role. He had seen her in Bengali cinema and told the director she was the only one who could match his energy.
• In Vijay (1988), Moushumi played Rishi's mother despite being only 10 years older than him. She later said he made it easy by treating her like a real elder on set — he'd touch her feet before every scene, even when the camera wasn't rolling.
