• Dharmendra personally recommended Chunky Pandey for the lead in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' (1988) after the director struggled to find a young actor who could match his own action-hero energy. Chunky was just three films old.
• In 'Khule-Aam' (1992), Dharmendra deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in every scene with Chunky so the younger actor's comic timing wouldn't get crushed. Chunky later said it was the only time he felt 'safe' doing comedy opposite a legend.
