• T. Rajendar cast Srividya in 'Mythili Ennai Kaathali' (1986) after she had taken a break from Tamil films. He convinced her to return by writing a role that leaned heavily on her emotional range — not just her star power.
• In 'Oru Thayin Sabhatham' (1987), Rajendar wrote long monologues for himself, but he deliberately gave Srividya the silent, reactive scenes. He later admitted she made those silences more powerful than his shouting — she taught him restraint on set.
• During the shoot of 'En Thangai' (1989), Srividya would bring homemade snacks for the entire crew. Rajendar once said in an interview that she treated the unit like family, and that's why he never raised his voice on that set — a rare thing for him.
