• Ravikant Nagaich was already a known villain when he cast Mithun as the lead in 'Wardaat' (1981). But Mithun was hesitant — he thought a film directed by a villain-actor would be a B-movie. Nagaich convinced him by showing the action sequences he had storyboarded himself.
• In 'Sahhas' (1981), Nagaich played the antagonist chasing Mithun. But on set, Nagaich would quietly adjust Mithun's fight choreography mid-scene — he knew Mithun's dance background made him move too gracefully for a street brawl. He told him to 'punch like you're angry, not like you're dancing.'
• After 'Tarkeeb' (1984) flopped, Nagaich called Mithun and said, 'I won't direct you again until I have a script that deserves you.' They never worked together again. Mithun later said that call hurt more than the flop.
• The fight scenes Nagaich choreographed for Mithun in 'Laparwah' (1981) were so raw that a young action director named Veeru Devgan watched them repeatedly. He later used similar 'angry hero' fight patterns in his own films — including those starring his son, Ajay Devgn.
• Mithun once told a trade magazine: 'Ravikant ji didn't just direct me — he taught me how to take a punch on screen without blinking. He said the audience should feel the hit, not see you acting hurt.'
