• Govinda personally asked director Priyadarshan to cast Rajpal Yadav in Bhagam Bhag (2006). Rajpal was still building his name, and Govinda insisted he'd be the perfect comic foil. That film kicked off their run together.
• On the sets of Partner (2007), Govinda would deliberately mess up his lines to make Rajpal break character. Rajpal later said that Govinda's unpredictable timing forced him to stay on his toes — it made their comic exchanges feel alive and unscripted.
