• Mohit Suri didn't want to cast Shraddha in Aashiqui 2. He thought she was too 'urban' for the role of a small-town singer. She auditioned twice, and he still said no. It was producer Bhushan Kumar who pushed for her, and Suri finally gave in — only after she sang a few lines in the room.
• On the sets of Aashiqui 2, Mohit Suri deliberately kept Shraddha isolated from the rest of the cast and crew. He told her to stay in character as Aarohi — shy, vulnerable, unsure. She later said that method approach made her performance feel raw, but it also made her cry alone in her vanity van every day.
• The success of Aashiqui 2 (2013) directly revived the 'romantic musical' genre in Bollywood, which had been dead for nearly a decade. After its 110+ crore blockbuster run, every studio started green-lighting love stories with original soundtracks again — including Mohit Suri's own Ek Villain the next year.
• During the filming of Half Girlfriend (2017), Shraddha and Mohit Suri barely spoke off-camera. The film's shoot was tense — Suri was going through a personal separation, and Shraddha was frustrated with the script's changes. They haven't worked together since, and neither has publicly discussed why.
