• Mohit Suri didn't want to cast Emraan Hashmi in 'Kalyug' (2005). He thought Emraan was too young and soft for the gritty role. Emraan auditioned twice, and Suri only gave him the part after the second audition convinced him the kid had the edge.
• On 'Awarapan' (2007), Mohit Suri deliberately pushed Emraan Hashmi into a darker, more internal performance than he'd ever done. Suri would whisper instructions mid-scene, forcing Emraan to react in real time — no rehearsals, just raw instinct. Emraan later said that film taught him how to act with his eyes.
• Their 2011 film 'Murder 2' directly launched the career of actor Prateik Babbar — he played the villain's henchman in his first major Bollywood role. Suri cast him on Hashmi's recommendation after they saw him in a small play together.
• After 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' (2015) bombed — their worst-rated film together — Mohit Suri and Emraan Hashmi stopped speaking for nearly two years.
