• Mysskin cast Narain in Chithiram Pesuthadi (2006) after seeing him in a stage play. Narain was so nervous on the first day that Mysskin had to calm him down by saying, 'Just be yourself, don't act.'
• On the sets of Anjathe (2008), Mysskin would act out every scene for Narain — including the female roles — to show the exact rhythm and body language he wanted. Narain later said he learned to 'move like a director's puppet' for those shots.
• After Mugamoodi (2012) flopped hard, Mysskin and Narain didn't speak for nearly two years. Narain later admitted in an interview that he felt Mysskin blamed him for the film's failure, and Mysskin had to call him to break the silence.
• Narain once said about Mysskin: 'He doesn't direct actors — he possesses them. On Chithiram Pesuthadi, I stopped being Narain for three months. I was just that character.'
• The raw, handheld fight choreography in Chithiram Pesuthadi (2006) directly inspired the action style of later Tamil indie films like Attakathi (2012) and Soodhu Kavvum (2013). Narain's street-fighter look in that film became a template for 'realistic' hero introductions.
