Mugamoodi (transl. Mask) is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language superhero film directed by Mysskin. The film stars Jiiva, Narain, and Pooja Hegde in her acting debut. It follows Anand, a martial artist who adopts a superhero persona to impress a girl, but is later framed for murder. The film features kung fu action choreographed by Tony Leung, who worked with Jackie Chan's team. It was produced by UTV Motion Pictures and shot in Chennai, Karaikal, Switzerland, and the Alps. Mugamoodi received mixed to positive reviews for its action, music, and visual effects. It was a commercial success and is considered Tamil cinema's first superhero film. The film was released on 31 August 2012 and is available on streaming platforms like Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar.

Storyline
Anand, a jobless martial arts enthusiast, pretends to be a superhero called Mugamoodi to win the heart of Shakthi. But his lie backfires when he is framed for a murder he did not commit. Now he must become a real hero to clear his name, protect his loved ones, and stop a brutal gang leader named Dragon.
