• Kunal Khemu was the one who pushed for Tusshar Kapoor to be cast in 'Dhol' (2007). The director wanted someone else for the role of 'Mausi', but Kunal insisted Tusshar would nail the comic timing. Tusshar got the part, and that film became their first collaboration.
• In 'Golmaal 3' (2010), Tusshar's character 'Lucky' was mostly mute — he communicated through grunts and expressions. Kunal, playing 'Laxman', had to do all the talking for both of them in their scenes together. Kunal later said that Tusshar's silence forced him to sharpen his own dialogue delivery, because he had to carry the entire comedic rhythm alone.
• Their pairing in 'Dhol' (2007) directly inspired the casting of the 2008 comedy 'Masti' sequel. The producers saw how well Kunal's hyper-energy bounced off Tusshar's deadpan stillness and wanted to recreate that dynamic. That film eventually launched a separate franchise.
• During the 'Golmaal Again' (2017) shoot, Kunal and Tusshar shared a vanity van for the entire schedule. They had a ritual: every morning, they'd order the same chai from the same stall and run through their scenes together before anyone else arrived. No one else was allowed in until they finished.
• Tusshar Kapoor on Kunal Khemu: 'He is the only co-actor who can make me laugh so hard that I break character. In 'Dhol', we had to reshoot a scene three times because I kept giggling at his expressions.'
