• Senthil and Disco Shanti first met on the set of 'Rasave Unnai Nambi' (1988). The director paired them because he needed a comic duo that could also dance — and both were stage performers before films.
• In 'Nyaya Tharasu' (1989), Senthil would deliberately flub his lines during rehearsals to make Disco Shanti laugh. She then improvised her reactions on camera, which became the scene's actual take.
• During the shoot of 'Pattukku Naan Adimai' (1990), Senthil and Disco Shanti shared a single room in a lodge near the set. They reportedly cooked their own meals because the unit couldn't afford catering.
• Their comedy track in 'Pattukku Naan Adimai' (1990) was so popular that the film's producer greenlit a separate comedy spin-off featuring the two — but it never got made because Disco Shanti quit films soon after.
• Disco Shanti once said in a 1991 interview: 'Senthil made me feel like I was the funniest person in the room. He never stole the scene — he handed it to me.'
