• Suresh and Radha first worked together in Ilanjodigal (1982) because the director saw them as a fresh contrast to the usual romantic pairs — he wanted a 'boy-next-door' and a 'girl-next-door' who actually looked like they could be neighbors, not stars.
• In Thunai (1982), Radha’s natural comic timing pushed Suresh to drop his usual serious acting style — he started improvising one-liners on set after she kept breaking his concentration with her laughter, and the director kept those takes in the final cut.
• Apoorva Sahodarigal (1983) was the first Tamil film to use a double-role split-screen effect for a romantic comedy — the technique was so new that the lab in Madras initially refused to process the negative, and Suresh had to sit with the editor for 48 hours straight to get it right.
• During the shoot of Vellai Roja (1983), Radha would bring homemade snacks for the entire crew every Friday — Suresh later admitted in a 1990s interview that he looked forward to those Fridays more than the scenes.
• Radha once said in a 1984 magazine interview: 'Suresh was the only co-star who never once tried to flirt with me between shots. He was too busy worrying about his hair. I found that very relaxing.'
• The success of their four-film run directly inspired director K. Bhagyaraj to cast them again in a planned fifth film — but Radha’s sudden marriage in 1984 killed the project, and Bhagyaraj later recycled the script for a different pair.
