• Aditya Pancholi was the one who pushed Deepak Balraj Vij into acting. Vij was working behind the scenes before Pancholi convinced him to step in front of the camera for Sailaab (1990).
• In Hafta Vasuli (1998), Pancholi played the intense lead while Vij wrote the story and dialogue. Vij tailored the lines specifically to Pancholi's rapid-fire delivery style, making their only film where one wrote for the other.
