
Saawariya(2007)
Saawariya is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language musical romance film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The lead cast includes Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, and Salman Khan. The story follows Raj, a free-spirited singer who arrives in a dreamlike town and falls for Sakina, a woman waiting for her lost love. The film is based on Fyodor Dostoevsky's 1847 short story White Nights. It marked the debut of both Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. The film received mixed reviews for its slow pacing but was praised for its grand production design, soundtrack, and performances. It was the first Indian film to be released in North America by a Hollywood studio, Sony Pictures. Saawariya was released on 9 November 2007 and was a commercial disappointment.

Storyline
A lonely singer named Raj arrives in a strange, beautiful town. He meets a sad girl named Sakina and falls in love with her. But Sakina is waiting for a man named Imaan, who promised to return on Eid. Raj must decide whether to fight for her love or let her go.
