Trivia

  • The film was originally titled 'Dil Hai Tumhaara' but was changed to 'Armaan' to avoid confusion with a 2002 film of the same name.
  • Actor Anil Kapoor, who played Dr. Siddharth Sinha, was not the first choice; the role was reportedly offered to Amitabh Bachchan.
  • The movie marked the debut of actress Gracy Singh in a glamorous role, a shift from her previous girl-next-door image in 'Lagaan'.
  • Director Honey Irani, a former actress and screenwriter, made her directorial debut with this film after writing hits like 'Lamhe'.
  • The film's soundtrack by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy includes a song, 'Aao Na', which was later recreated for the 2019 film 'Gully Boy'.
  • Despite a star cast, the film underperformed at the box office, ending its run as a commercial disappointment.
  • A subplot involving Preity Zinta's character Sonia was partly inspired by classic love triangle dramas of the 1970s.
