Jhankaar Beats(2003)
Jhankaar Beats is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language musical comedy film directed by Sujoy Ghosh in his feature directorial debut. The film stars Sanjay Suri, Rahul Bose, Juhi Chawla, Rinke Khanna, Riya Sen, and Shayan Munshi. The story follows two best friends and copywriters, Deep and Rishi, who have lost a local music contest called Jhankaar Beats for two consecutive years. They recruit a shy apprentice named Neel to form a band and compete again while navigating troubled marriages, a demanding boss, and a condom ad campaign. The film is notable for its witty dialogue, natural performances, and its heartfelt tribute to composer R.D. Burman. Storyline
Two best friends and copywriters, Deep and Rishi, have lost the annual Jhankaar Beats music contest two years in a row. Determined to win this year, they recruit a shy apprentice named Neel to complete their band. But their personal lives are falling apart: Rishi's wife wants a divorce, Deep's wife is pregnant, and their boss is against their music. They must overcome these obstacles to chase their dream.
