Mahaanta(1997)
Mahaanta is a 1997 Hindi action drama film directed by Afzal Khan and produced by Ayub Khan under the Ayesha Film banner. It stars Jeetendra, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, and Shakti Kapoor. The story follows Sanjay Malhotra, whose brother and sister-in-law are murdered on his wedding night, leading him on a violent revenge spree against the wealthy Kedar Nath and his associates. His best friend Vijay Kapoor, the Police Commissioner, tries to stop him while protecting him from a hidden conspiracy. The film is known for its delayed production due to Sanjay Dutt's legal troubles and features music by Laxmikant Pyarelal. It was released on 23 May 1997 and was a commercial failure.

Storyline
Sanjay Malhotra's wedding night turns into a nightmare when his brother and sister-in-law are murdered. He believes his best friend Vijay betrayed him by arresting him that night. Sanjay swears to kill the men responsible. But Vijay, the Police Commissioner, must stop him while hiding a secret that could save their friendship.
