Trivia

  • The film's director, K. Bapaiah, was known for Telugu cinema and this was one of his few Hindi directorial ventures.
  • Actor Mithun Chakraborty performed many of his own stunts in the film, including a risky fight sequence on a moving train.
  • The villain 'Dhaga' was played by veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, who was often typecast in similar negative roles during that era.
  • The movie's soundtrack, composed by Bappi Lahiri, included a popular disco-style song 'Pyar Ka Karz' featuring Alisha Chinai.
  • It was filmed partly in the hill station of Ooty, a common location for romantic and dramatic scenes in 80s and 90s Bollywood.
  • The film's release coincided with a wave of similar 'angry young man' vs. corrupt politician storylines popular at the time.
  • Despite the star cast, the film did not perform well commercially and is considered one of Mithun's lesser-known action films from that period.
