'Velaiilla Pattadhari' (transl. The Unemployed Graduate), also known as 'VIP', is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film written and directed by R. Velraj in his directorial debut. The film stars Dhanush in the lead role, alongside Amala Paul, Vivek, Saranya Ponvannan, Samuthirakani, and Surbhi. It follows Raghuvaran, a civil engineering graduate who remains unemployed for four years due to his refusal to accept jobs outside his field. After his mother's death, he receives a job offer from the father of a woman who received his mother's donated lungs. He then battles a wealthy rival to complete a government housing project for slum dwellers. The film was produced by Dhanush under his banner Wunderbar Films, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. It received positive reviews for its blend of comedy, emotion, and social commentary, and was a commercial success, grossing over ₹53 crore worldwide. The film was released on 18 July 2014.

Storyline
Raghuvaran is a stubborn civil engineering graduate who refuses to take any job outside his field. After four years of unemployment and family conflict, a personal tragedy leads to an unexpected job offer. He must now complete a government project while a rich rival tries to destroy him.
