Brahmotsavam is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language family melodrama film written and directed by Srikanth Addala. The film stars Mahesh Babu, Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Pranitha Subhash in lead roles, with Sathyaraj and Rao Ramesh playing key supporting characters. The story follows Babu, a young man from a close-knit joint family in Vijayawada, whose uncle's jealousy over his father's success leads to a tragic family rift. After his father's death, Babu embarks on a journey to heal broken relationships and restore family unity. The film was produced by Prasad V. Potluri under PVP Cinema and featured music by Mickey J. Meyer. Despite high expectations, Brahmotsavam received negative reviews for its weak screenplay and was declared a box office bomb, grossing only ₹63.70 crore against a ₹75 crore budget. Storyline
Babu lives happily with his large joint family in Vijayawada. But his uncle Peddabbai's jealousy tears the family apart after Babu's father dies of shock. To bring everyone back together, Babu goes on a journey to meet his distant relatives and learn the true meaning of family.
