Partnership facts

• Their first film together, Sogasu Chuda Taramaa? (1995), was a disaster at the box office. But director Jandhyala saw something in their pairing and cast them again seven years later in Allari (2002). That second film is what actually started their run together.
• In Sammohanam (2018), Tanikella Bharani played Naresh's father. Their scenes together had a natural rhythm because Bharani would deliberately slow down his dialogue delivery, forcing Naresh to match his pace. That tension between a measured father and an impatient son became the emotional core of the film.
• Their 2019 film First Rank Raju launched a new trend in Telugu cinema: small-town father-son stories with no villains. After its hit run, at least three similar films were greenlit in the next year, all trying to copy the same warm, conflict-free dynamic they had.
• On the sets of Brahmotsavam (2016), Naresh and Tanikella Bharani would spend lunch breaks rehearsing their scenes from the next day. Not because the director asked them to — they just didn't want to waste time on set figuring out blocking. The crew called them 'the homework pair.'
• Naresh once said in an interview: 'Bharani garu doesn't act. He just stands there and lets the scene happen around him. I learned that if I try to act opposite him, I look fake. So I just react.'
