
Podaa Podi(2012)
Podaa Podi is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language musical romantic comedy film written and directed by debutant Vignesh Shivan. It stars Silambarasan as Arjun and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar as Nisha in her acting debut. The story follows a London-based couple whose relationship is tested by jealousy, traditional gender roles, and a tragic accident. The film features a soundtrack composed by Dharan Kumar with eight tracks. It was shot in London, Spain, Macau, and Hong Kong Disneyland, becoming the first Tamil film to shoot at the theme park. The film received mixed reviews from critics and performed average at the box office. Varalakshmi earned a nomination for Best Debutant Female at the 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards. The film was released on Diwali 2012.

Storyline
Arjun, an animation artist in London, falls in love with Nisha, an aspiring dancer. After marriage, his jealousy and traditional beliefs clash with her dream of winning a dance competition. He uses pregnancy to trap her at home, leading to tragedy and separation. Can their love survive control and loss?
